The Morro Bay Art Association announces the opening of its annual Student Scholarship Competition and Show. On Thursday, November 9th, high school and college students' art work will be displayed in various media in a juried show at the association's art gallery, 835 Main Street.

The art work, which includes drawing, painting, pastel, photography, ceramics, and sculpture, is exceptional. Qualified judges in each category will select winners for cash prizes ranging from $100 for Honorable Mention up to $500 for college level work.

The show opens November 9th and closes on December 9th. A reception for the artists will be held on November 11th.
